About
I'm Aryan Boonlia, a Product Designer focused on improving real-world digital products through continuous iteration, user research, and close collaboration with teams.

Professional
I've spent the last 3+ years working as a solo designer in startup environments, where I've owned the end-to-end design of live digital products. This means I'm not just designing interfaces — I'm actively improving usability, engagement, and retention on products that real people use every day.
Working closely with product managers and engineers, I've learned to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints. I thrive in fast-paced environments where design decisions need to be made quickly, tested, and iterated on based on real feedback.
My experience has been in education and healthcare — industries where design isn't just about aesthetics, but about making complex systems accessible to diverse user groups.
Philosophy
Clarity over complexity.
UX over visual noise.
I believe good design doesn't need to announce itself. It should feel intuitive, effortless, and almost invisible. My focus is on creating experiences that prioritize clarity and usability over unnecessary decoration.
Rather than chasing one-time redesigns, I prefer iterative improvements — small, meaningful changes based on user behavior and feedback. Real design happens in the details, in the edge cases, and in the moments users might struggle.
I design for real users, not ideal scenarios. That means understanding constraints, context, and sometimes designing for situations that are messy, unpredictable, or imperfect.
Research
I've conducted user research through interviews, field visits, and usability testing — often with users from rural and underserved communities. These experiences taught me that assumptions don't build good products; behavior does.
Whether it's educators managing classrooms or clinicians using healthcare tools, I've learned to observe how people actually work — their workarounds, their frustrations, and their habits. That's where the best design opportunities are.
Research isn't just a phase for me — it's a mindset. I bring curiosity to every project and make it a point to stay connected to the people I'm designing for.
Strengths
Product Thinking
Understanding the bigger picture and aligning design with business goals and user needs.
UX Design & Interaction
Crafting intuitive interfaces and smooth interactions that feel natural.
User Research
Conducting interviews, field visits, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Information Architecture
Organizing complex systems into clear, logical structures.
Collaboration
Working closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to ship quality products.
Beyond Work
Outside of design, I'm drawn to travel and exploration — whether it's discovering new places, meeting people from different backgrounds, or simply observing how environments shape behavior.
I'm also interested in climbing and physical challenges that push me to think differently and stay grounded. There's something about problem-solving with your body that mirrors the work I do as a designer — breaking down big challenges into manageable steps.
At the core, I'm curious about people. How they think, what motivates them, and how design can make their lives a little easier. That curiosity is what keeps me learning and growing, both professionally and personally.
"I design products that feel simple, clear, and usable in the real world."
